From Ballroom Dance Partners to Husband and Wife

From ballroom dance partners to husband and wife, Kimberly Dice and Antonio Conde said their “I Do’s” in the beautiful River Oaks Garden Club  surrounded by their closest family and friends but most importantly, by their daughter.  This romantic garden setting was exquisitely captured by Katie Lamb Photography. Guests were captivated by the harpist from Divisi Strings that gracefully set the mood during the prelude.   Events In Bloom brought the garden to life with grand arrangements shaping the front of the garden for the ceremony. After the vows were exchanged, guest were treated to a cocktail hour by silverStone Catering.

Following the ceremony and cocktail hour guest joined Kimberly and Antonio along with their families at The Junior League of Houston for a breathtaking reception.  Events in Bloom was able to bring in an elegant garden feel to the ballroom, with luxury lounge furniture and life size hedges, allowing guests to dance the night away amongst greenery and chandeliers. The guests dined, laughed, and danced the night away with a ravishing bridal cake and the Venezuelan/USA/Texas inspired groom’s cake from Edible Designs by Jessie  and music from Yelba and the Latin Fire.

Best Night Ever

Every year ExxonMobil challenges us to come up with something new and fresh for their End of Year Holiday Party.  We  decided that Hotel Zaza would be the  perfect setting for the evening we were about to claim as the “BEST NIGHT EVER”.  A perfect match paired with Hotel Zaza’s signature champagne cocktail THE BUBBLEBERRY.  What would be the BEST NIGHT EVER without Joseph West Photography to capture the evening and tell the story.

As we prepared for the BEST NIGHT EVER we knew that everyone working the party would have to play a role to help rely the message.  In proper Occasio fashion we made fabulous hats for all our ladies and had suspenders, bowties, and matching hats for all of the staff.  As guest arrived they knew it was a party!

We also created with Katie and Co. fun conversational branding that would tie into our theme.  Who wouldn’t like to blame the mustache or cheers with gusto?

With a fantastic white tent we decided to highlight it with colors of black and pink.  We brought in draping and lighting to highlight the space and give a focal point to the pool area.

We had a fantastic DJ paired with live Swirrlers.

We can’t forget Dessert!  How better to serve it than on a strolling table.

Mike’s 30th Birthday Party

For Memorial Day weekend, we traveled back in time to the 80s! We put together a 30th Birthday party with an 80s Neon-Party at El Big Bad in downtown Houston. Black lights from LG Entertainment were used throughout the space to help make the creativity come alive.

As guests walked into the space they were encouraged to “Glow with it” by decking themselves out with glow in the dark rings, necklaces, bracelets, headbands and more! Edible Designs by Jessie made amazing petit fours that were neon with different 80s icons on them! Guests could enjoy light up cotton candy, food from El Big Bad. Custom cocktails such as the Ferris Bueller Berry, the Charlie Sheen, and the PAC MAN  were crafted for the party. Tables were covered in neon splattered linens with cassette tape vases on top filled with tonic water, which glows in black lights- Who Knew!? A life sized PAC MAN game covered the dance floor with glow in the dark balloons and giant Rubik’s Cubes lined the room while an 80’s movies montage was played on tv monitors.  The DJ kept the 80s spirit alive playing our favorite music from the decade!

Caricature Inspired

We loved loved loved working on this art deco wedding with Sarah and Tyler at Hotel ZaZa Houston. The ballroom was designed perfectly and made a intimate space out of a huge ballroom. Every detail was very personalized between the custom dessert spoons all the way down to the stationary detail by Papellerie. Gorgeous wedding cake by Edibles by Jessie along with a fire truck groom’s cake. Everything is beautiful thanks to Joe Cogliandro Photography

Sarah and Tyler had caricatures being made at the wedding and cigars being rolled.  A STUNNING backdrop made out of paper from Paper Floral Artistry for the band to play in front of. To end the night the couple hopped on a vintage fire truck while confetti canons sent them off!

Beautiful floral arrangements for the  wedding were done by Blooming Gallery

Mercedes Benz Honky Tonk Holiday Party

Fun! That describes this party from inception to end result–this party was FUN! With red, white, and blue detailing on everything and a dash of yuletide cheer, this party was a Honky Tonk dream!

Beer is a must to have a great Honky Tonk and guests enjoyed stopping by our Moonshine Sippin’ Bar! There were awesome boot shaped mugs with custom tags and napkins for guests to enjoy their beer. There were plenty of  sweet treats to go around along with an amazing place setting by Elegant Beginnings.

Paola & Paul

We were thrilled this past weekend to assist with Paola and Paul’s wedding at The Houstonian. The day began at The Houstonian’s Spa, Trellis, where the bridal party had their hair and makeup done. After a fun morning at Trellis it was off to the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in downtown Houston for the ceremony. Following a beautiful ceremony the new bride and groom left the church in a vintage, ivory Rolls- Royce.

Paola and Paul had a beautiful Mexican/Columbian reception, with gold and ivory décor. On the tables were elegant jeweled centerpieces made by Darryl and Co. However, the chocolate groom’s cake topped with bacon from Who Made the Cake stole the show. After a delicious meal from The Houstonian, there was dancing and live music provided by The Austin Nines. Later in the evening came one of the most exciting parts of the reception; a surprise appearance by Mariachi 85,  an authentic mariachi band.  Guest fare welled the couple with their favorite Mexican Ballads sang by the Mariachis.
